Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. You do not need a physician referral or insurance to get started. At Apex Movement, we offer direct access to one-on-one physical therapy, golf performance assessments, manual therapy, and personal training. Whether you're recovering from an injury, looking to improve your golf game, or simply want to move better, you can schedule an appointment directly with us—no referral or insurance approval required.
-
Apex Movement is a cash-based practice, so we do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to provide longer one-on-one appointments, individualized treatment, and care that's focused on your goals—not insurance limitations.
-
Your first visit is a comprehensive one-on-one evaluation focused on understanding your goals, movement patterns, and the root cause of your symptoms—not just treating where it hurts.
Depending on your needs, your evaluation may include:
Movement and mobility assessment
Strength testing
Hands-on examination
Golf swing screening
TPI assessment (when appropriate)
Personalized treatment plan
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's contributing to your symptoms and the steps needed to move and perform better.
-
Not at all.
While golf performance is one of our specialties, we work with active adults of all ages and activity levels. Whether you're recovering from an injury, preparing for a race, getting back to the gym, or simply wanting to move without pain, our approach is tailored to your goals.
-
A Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) assessment evaluates how your body's mobility, stability, strength, and movement patterns influence your golf swing.
The goal isn't to change your swing—it's to improve the physical limitations that may be affecting your performance, consistency, or contributing to pain.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Athletic attire is ideal, especially if you'll be participating in movement testing, exercise, or a golf performance assessment. If you are coming for physical therapy, be sure to wear or bring something that allows us to access the body part we are treating (shorts for knee or hip pain for example).

Sessions are typically 45 minutes. Times may vary based on individual needs.
